We are preparing the stream for the new Tawny Owl breeding season with: - New nest boxes - More cameras - Multiple 24/7 LIVE STREAMS
Last night (Ed. 8 July 2021) the wildlife camera spotted the tawny owl again. With a spectacular flight, the owl catches a mouse that is eaten in front of the camera.
Hans tells today about the bird feeder livestream in the forest in De Mortel. There is plenty to see, all kinds of birds, squirrels and mice pass by daily. But also spectacular views of hunting tawny owls.
NOT FOR SENSITIVE VIEWERS! During a walk in the forest Hans finds the corpse of a deer and adheres to the nature rule "only watch and do not intervene". The wildlife camera is used to make recordings of what comes along and benefits.
Every year a tawny owl pair chooses one of the two breeding boxes as their nest in De Mortel. During the 2021 tawny owl breeding season we started broadcasting live streams daily on January 15th, resulting in more than 25,000 views over the entire breeding period.
